How does this differ from the War to Peace® programme?
This PQ mental fitness programme is a standalone programme that you may start on any given Monday, as it is accessed via daily exercises on an exclusive app, along with weekly video content for 6 weeks. It has wide application to all areas of your life and is most beneficial to people who want life to be easier, as it builds the mental fitness to be better equipped to deal with all of life’s challenges.
War to Peace® is a methodology that is specifically designed to help people with conflict and relationship difficulty, whilst also having applicability to wider aspects that may be challenging in life. The programme is currently being run virtually, in 6 x three-hour sessions for consecutive weeks, so you would need to be available to participate at specific times and dates, as the content is not recorded to protect participants’ privacy.
The PQ programme is completely aligned with the War to Peace® programme in its approach, so it is a fantastic support for people who have already completed War to Peace®, and will also be highly beneficial for those who wish to experience it in advance of taking the War to Peace® programme.
Is the PQ mental fitness programme right for me?
This is the right programme for you if:
1.) You are committed to improving your performance and effectiveness dramatically while reducing stress.
2.) You’re looking for a science-based and trusted system to make it stick.
3.) You’re willing to put in the initial effort to rewire years of mental habits that don’t serve you.
Aren’t negative emotions sometimes helpful?
Some people believe that negative emotions are helpful. For example, they think stress gives them their performance edge, or beating themselves or others up is helpful for continual improvement.
Feeling pain for a split second when your hand touches a hot stove is indeed useful, delivering an important alert. But your Saboteurs keep your hand on the hot stove, continuing to feel negative emotions which harm both performance and happiness.
In this programme we learn to use negative emotions as a helpful alert, and then quickly shift to the positive region of the brain that has the calm clarity, objectivity, and creativity to handle the challenge most effectively.
How much time and effort are required?
You’d be committing to watching a 1-hour video once per week and doing a combined total of 15 minutes per day of practice guided by the Positive Intelligence app exclusively designed for this programme.
This might sound like a lot of time. In fact, cumulatively, it constitutes less than 2% of your awake time for the duration of the programme. Please consider that your Saboteurs are costing you far more than 2% of your time, effort, energy, and productivity. Consider how much more than 2% of time and productivity this six-week investment will save for years to come.
Should we participate as a team?
Even though the focus of the programme is individual development, team leaders often call this experience the best team building experience they have ever had. Going through this programme together significantly deepens trust, helps clear the air related to recurrent team member conflicts (since they’re mostly generated by Saboteurs) and gives the entire team a common framework for helping each other grow, making decisions, responding to setbacks, and managing conflicting styles and agendas.
How is this different from reading the book?
You’d never learn to ride a bicycle by reading a book about it. You’ll be provided with and asked to read the first 8 chapters of the book while participating in the programme. The book provides the research foundation and introduces the tools. The video sessions guide you through experiential exercises that help you use the tools according to your own personality and needs. And the app coaches you to practise one tool at a time in the context of your own daily work and life challenges.
How soon can I start?
The programme itself starts on any given Monday. Prior to this, you will be sent instructions to download the Positive Intelligence app, along with the community app and that week’s video.
What additional support is available during the 6 week programme?
Should you want additional support during the programme, you may book one-to-one or group coaching sessions with Chloe. Please contact Chloe here or call her on +44 (0) 7973 192247 and she will be glad to help.
What happens after the 6 week programme?
After six weeks, you will have access to the PQ app for 12 months. If you would like new daily content or ongoing coaching support, this can be arranged in week five of your programme for an additional fee.
Who will lead the Positive Intelligence Programme?
