What’s In The Book?

My own story: what happened when I discovered and dealt with the conflict that was marring my life. An introduction to the War to Peace® methodology, and how it can help you. And the conflict paradox ~ how conquering our internal and external conflicts allows us to transform our lives.

Your Operating System: what is it, and why does it matter? How do we find ourselves in one of the two ways of operating (in the Red or at War, and in the Green or at Peace) and what is it like there? You’ll be introduced to The Model of Influence, which is your secret weapon to achieving the relationships and outcomes you want.

What are the consequences of being in the Red and interacting with people from there? What is the cost to ourselves, and to others? You’ll also explore how we fall in to the trap of The Spiral of Disempowerment ~ and how to escape it.

Understanding your personal style of conflict. You’ll be introduced to the The Unlucky Seven warning signs that alert us that we’re in the Red, along with familiarising yourself with own personal Red Flags. You’ll also explore how the Shades of Red can help us to understand the self-deceptive nature of conflict.

Can we take charge of how we feel, and choose this at will?  In this chapter, you’ll learn how the 3 ‘F’s can support us and challenge what we thought we knew about our feelings.

Here, we’ll see why ‘should’ is a four-letter word. And why it is useful to look our pre-conceptions in the eye and challenge them. We’ll also examine how we find ourselves climbing the Ladder of Inference, and delete, distort and generalise to create a reality that supports our decisions ~ and what you can do about it.

We’ll learn how to expand our capacity for how we think about our situation and the people we find difficult. And experience the power of trying on different perspectives.

Reaping the rewards of being in the Green: living and working with integrity, and operating congruently with our values. What to do when our old habits rear their heads, and how we can keep finding our way back to our true selves, where ease, clarity, courage and our greatest source of influence reside.
